Community-Oriented Services:

  1. Coordinate with both private and public sectors to organize town-hall meetings for various purposes aiming to achieve a higher sense of contribution to community services; as well as to disseminate useful information to the general public.
  2. Promote full participation & deep engagement in the upcoming US Census 2010 to ensure full and accurate count of all people living in the United States.

Disaster Relief Services: 

  1. Register victims and survivors in the immediate aftermath of natural disasters – at various locations - to obtain FEMA ID number for future assistance.
  2. Execute plans of emergency relief assistance by way of distributing basic necessities at the earliest stage post-disaster.
  3. Perform extensive outreach activities to bring awareness of requirements and/or benefits – from private and public sectors – to the various communities throughout the Houston area.
  4. Coordinate with local government in setting up point of distribution for disaster relief by distributing emergency water, ice, fresh or canned goods, first-aid kits…
  5. Provide long-term recovery assistance by case management.

Educational Services:

  1. Organize ESL classes to help refugees and immigrants in learning the English language, at various locations throughout the vast Houston area, particularly for low-income people.
  2. Organize computer classes to provide basic understanding and learning to navigate the Internet.
  3. Provide support and/or coordination to various organizations, fraternal associations, religious establishments in teaching Vietnamese to youngsters to preserve cultural heritage.

Employment Services:

  1. Provide extensive and free services related to employment opportunities by way of preparing resumes, referral activities to potential employers in all areas.
  2. Provide step-by-step assistance in filing for unemployment compensation; including appeals to unfair decisions.
  3. Organize workshops and study sessions to educate all people in gearing toward demands in the workplaces.
  4. Provide free basic and advanced computer training to enhance and/or improve employability for all people.
  5. Coordinate with both private and public sectors to organize Job Fairs.

Social & Health Services:

  1. Organize workshops, symposia… to promote effective preventive health measures.
  2. Coordinate with city, county and state health agencies to provide free immunization to all service areas.
  3. Coordinate with various organizations catered to seniors; fresh daily meals, transportation, recreational and leisure activities, learning opportunities…
  4. Provide facility at our center and/or ethnic villages and support mobile health teams to process applications for CHIP, Gold Cards, Medicaid, Medicare…
  5. Coordinate with non-profit entities to deal with domestic violence.                                                                   
  6. Promote happy marriage by means of workshops and counseling sessions.
  7. Coordinate with Houston Food Bank to organize various distribution points in most-needed areas. 
  8. Coordinate with local health agencies to promote Health Fairs through all service areas.
  9. Provide referral services to proper agencies to assist handicapped and/or mentally-challenged people.
  10. Free Self Defense Martial Art to improve heath and self confident.

General Services:

  1. Provide free computer services to low-income people regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, national origin.
  2. Provide assistance for low-income people to apply for CEAP (Community Energy Assistance Program) to reduce their energy bills.
  3. Provide assistance to low-income people to apply for Federal Home Weatherization Program.
  4. Educate people in the minorities’ segment to fully understand the voting processes and encourage them to vote.

Immigration Services:

  1. Provide assistance, at nominal fees, to various immigration services such as family reunification.
  2. Provide free interpretation and translation services to all people at immigration offices; as well as prepare necessary documents at our Center.

Youth Services:

  1. Organize annual soccer tournaments and year-round practices, after school, to promote and encourage healthy activities and habits among youngsters.
  2. Organize meetings, seminars and small sessions to instill and encourage the spirit of community services; provide opportunities for students to get credit and acknowledgement for community services.

Financial Services:

  1. Coordinate with local financial institutions to organize seminars, workshops to disseminate useful and necessary information about banking, credit cards, mortgages, business and personal loans.
